Facit is a duo from Göteborg, Sweden, consisting of Joakim Karlsson and Mai Nestor.

They make everyday wave, reflecting the life of the lonely people in the north. They socialize by drinking too much coffee. Their sound is sparse and minimalistic, warm and cold at the same time. They are using analog synthesizers and drum machines from the past like the Korg Mono/Poly and Boss Dr. Rhythm DR55. They create melancholic melody and synchronized rhythm. The music is frozen in a minor key. Both members take turns on the microphone, singing their songs in different languages like swedish, english and french.

The songs are emotional but also factual. Depressive with a hint of hope. Facit is a story of right and wrong, of discipline and imagination. A daydream from the schoolbench. An unwillingness to grow up and learn to fit in, yet a modest wish to become one in a million, a face in the crowd.
